MUS 113 - Sight-Singing and Ear Training I

(1) This course is the first semester of a four-semester sequence required of all music majors. Students should enroll in the corequisite Music Theory class when enrolled in a Sight Singing and Ear Training course. In this sequence, students will develop aural skills and competency with sight singing and ear training using solfege in the areas of melody, harmony, and rhythm in a systematic pedagogy.

Prerequisites: MUS 111 or a passing grade on the Music Theory Entrance Exam.
Corequisites: MUS 112.
